Hello! My name is Sharon Farrell. I am a producer and filmmaker. I’ve built a television and film career on discovering and producing compelling, character-driven stories. My background includes: director, film cinematographer, editor, producer, and writer. 

With Wings to Fly, a narrative screenplay is my current project - inspired by the true events from my documentary of the same title. An original story like no other! 

I am grateful that my documentary films have screened at international festivals including Mill Valley, Tiburon, Fairfax, IDA, and the California Independent Film Festival and honored by the Orinda Film Society, selected for IFP's Independents In Flight, awarded the Bronze Apple by the National Educational Media Network, recommended by Booklist and School Library Journal, and recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as one of the outstanding documentaries of the year, which screened at the Academy's Contemporary Documentary Series along with Oscar winners and nominees of that year.
